With the start of the New Year, I’ve been reviewing my teaching policies, and tightening up my ship a little bit.
I wanted to let you know about some changes in the way I’d like to be paid, and how lessons will work in the future. Most of you do this intuitively already, but for some folks this will be new.
Your lesson starts when you step into the music studio, and ends after the duration that you have paid for (a mininum of 30 minutes, but also 45- and 60-minute lessons).  If you decide to use that time to chat, sometimes that’s the best kind of lesson, but it counts as lesson time.
I may use a timer to help us remember to end on time.
If you are late, I try will accommodate you, provided I do not need to be somewhere else immediately after your lesson. If you are late and I cannot stay, your lesson time still counts.
I ask that you pay for four (4) lessons in advance. This will save time at the end of the lesson. You write only one check rather than doing it every time.
SICKNESS, VACATIONS, CANCELLATIONS AND MAKE-UPS
If I need to cancel for any reason, I will issue you a credit for another lesson.
If you need to cancel, I ask for 24 hours’ notice. You will be issued a credit for a future lesson. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you forfeit payment for that lesson.
Referrals are the backbone of my business. Â Refer a friend and your next lesson is free.
I teach harp, piano, composition, voice, ukulele, flute, drums, healing modes and more.
My focus is on helping students learn what they want, deepening their own understanding of their connection to their Muse.
Lessons include a combination of technique, ear training, and teaching you to trust your own musical gut. If you know someone who would benefit from that, I’d love to talk with them.
Testimonials help me find new students that you may not know. Â I would appreciate your taking a moment to send me a testimonial that I can use on my web site and on Thumbtack.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and ask me questions.
I enjoy you all so much, and am proud that you are fearlessly bringing your music into a world that needs it very much. See you in-person and/or on Skype!
